Protecting Cultural Patrimony: Pueblo of Acoma

(Drum beats) These items are hard to, just call them as items, because they do have a life. The sale of these items, hurts my people. Not only my people, but all native people. Because all these things have life, they have a spirit. They have a home, just as we, as human beings have place to call home. They do too. And, I ask, from here, I ask these people who sell, who purchase, please return them home. All these items. I ask not only for myself, but for my people and for all young peoples. I sit here, and cry. Because it needs to come home. (Flute and chanting)
