Quality control
Today's world can be called the age of quality.
In such a competitive environment and with mass production, manufacturers can succeed in offering higher quality products and better after-sales service. This rule is the basis of quality at Jamco Company, because any small defect or negligence in the production of an electric motor can have disastrous consequences.
The correct and precise implementation of this policy has brought Armaghan the titles of “Exemplary Quality Control Unit” from the Khorasan Razavi Standards Administration for three consecutive years and “Exemplary Quality Control Unit” from the National Standards Organization of Iran.

Quality control at Gemco
Gemco’s quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified, confirming that all of the company’s processes are carried out in accordance with international standards. These processes are continuously reviewed through internal audits and improved when necessary. The quality management system, combined with the commitment and expertise of the Gemco team, guarantees the superior quality of the company’s products and services.
Control unit
Jamco’s Quality Control Unit, as the customer’s representative and quality supervisor, is responsible for inspecting and monitoring all stages of production. This process includes the entry of raw materials and the production of semi-finished parts to the final product. This unit operates in two independent but related departments and is managed under the supervision of the Vice President for Technology and Quality Control. The activities of these two departments include the following:
- Quality control unit for incoming raw materials and quality control of production lines
- Quality Control Laboratory Unit

Jamco Company's quality control laboratory unit has ISO 17025 standard and has been certified by the National Accreditation Center of Iran.
The laboratories of this unit include:
1- Raw Materials Laboratory: In this laboratory, the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of raw materials used in the production of electric motors and generators are studied, and the results are compared with international standards and quality control instructions of the engineering organization of Jamco Company.
2- IP code ingress resistance laboratories: In these laboratories, protection tests related to electric motors against water and foreign objects are performed.

3-Explosion-proof laboratory:
In explosion-proof electric motors, due to the special environmental conditions in which they are used, there is a possibility of accumulation of gases and chemicals and the formation of explosive or flammable mixtures with air. Therefore, these motors must be safe against the occurrence of sparks or the exchange of sparks with the surrounding environment.
For this reason, to test and evaluate these electric motors after production, they are placed in a simulated environment. During testing, there is a possibility of an explosion, which may damage employees and facilities. For this reason, Gemco has designed and built an enclosure with special safety features:

Explosion-proof, with the ability to dampen and reduce noise, vibration and explosion intensity
Possibility of starting low and medium voltage electric motors
4_Electromotor final test laboratories:
Jamco Company has two stations for the final testing of electric motors:
- The first station is located in the low-voltage electric motor production hall and can perform final testing of all types of low-voltage electric motors up to a maximum of 90 kW.
- The second station is located in the medium-voltage electric motor production hall and can complete the final test of all types of low and medium-voltage electric motors.
The latest calibrated equipment is periodically and very carefully tested. These tests include:
- Prototype test: This test is performed on the first prototype of the designed electric motor to match the actual performance specifications with the design specifications. Power factor, efficiency, noise level, vibration, acceleration, shaft voltage, winding resistance, insulation resistance, temperature rise, locked rotor tests, continuity, no-load and load are some of the tests performed at this stage.
- Current test or routine: After performing a sample test for an electromotor sample and confirming its specifications, tests are performed on similar samples of this product, which is called current test. No-load, locked rotor, overvoltage, overspeed, noise level measurement, vibration, winding resistance, and insulation resistance are also among the tests in this stage.

The Quality Control Unit is an essential part of the quality assurance process of Jamco Company’s products and is based on these principles:

- Continuously improve product quality through corrective and preventive actions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Increasing quality in all processes, including product development, design, production, delivery, sales and after-sales service.
- Maintaining quality at a desirable and higher level to increase customer satisfaction and achieve a greater share of national and international markets.
- Reduce production costs and increase market share by implementing effective inspections and controls throughout the production process.
- Each individual and department is responsible for their own professional quality.
- Conducting continuous audits to monitor quality levels and identify capacity for continuous improvement.
- Assessing the quality of suppliers and customers.
- Formulate quality principles and encourage employees to achieve the principles.
- Providing modern measuring equipment and regular monitoring of industrial electric motors at the request of the operator, with the aim of maintaining performance quality.
